Its the United Way of the Greater Capital Region which helps each of these individuals and many more–and is the recipient of our monthly charitable contribution for May.

The United Way improves lives and community conditions across the Greater Capital Region by investing in programs and leading initiatives that bring partners together around issues that are best addressed collectively. Their work is based on the belief that together, united, we achieve far more than any single person or agency could alone.

We are happy live united, and to support an organization whose reach is so far, so deep, and so impressive throughout our community.

You are incredibly talented and working with the best people is one of my core beliefs. I am biased because they are my children, but to me they are the most beautiful thing on this Earth. Just seeing the way that you portray that beauty makes me blissfully happy. I hope that by the time you are taking their 10 year old pictures I will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy watching it all unfold. For now, I know that I will have some amazing images to enjoy for years to come.

Our workshops are not intended for aspiring or current professionals, and topics such as post-processing and business related matters will not be covered.

Includes (2)  sessions. The first session (1 hour) will focus on the basics… your DSLR’s functions, lenses, exposure, shutter speed & aperture, ISO and finding the light. You will leave with “homework” to help you get to know your camera and the basics of the craft. The second session (2 hours, scheduled approximately 2 weeks later) will delve more into the creative angle and cover focus, composition and angles, white balance, lighting, and some tips and tricks. At the end of your session, we’ll take some time to practice what you’ve learned on your children. In between your sessions, you will have the ability email Ashley with your questions as you work on what you’ve learned.

You must own a DSLR and at least one basic lens (we recommend the 50mm 1.8 lens, a greater starter/all purpose lens). Sessions can be held at your home (within 30 miles of Niskayuna, NY) or at our shooting space in Saratoga Springs. Group workshops, at a reduced per person cost, are available for groups of 3-8 participants. Please inquire for details.

Once we get back from our holiday break, we stay busy with newborn/baby and at home sessions (some of our very favorites!) and all of the “behind the scenes” stuff we don’t have time for the rest of the year… but, I’d be lying if I said we didn’t look forward to getting back outdoors. There are endless possibilities and so many avenues for creative, fun sessions during the warmer months of the year! We’re breaking out of a hibernation of sorts and thrilled for what the next couple of months will bring.

• Don’t forget… our short&sweet sessions are available year round on an individual basis. Although we often host special events (like our mamahood sessions), short&sweet sessions are always available as an option. They are perfect for getting to know us, getting some beautiful updated images when you don’t need a full signature session, or for those who are looking for quality on a tighter budget. Even though they are a condensed option, our short&sweet session clients still get to reap the benefits and luxury experience of a custom, full service photographer. • Thank for the enormous response to our call for artist choice sessions! We’ve made our selections and can’t wait to shoot and share the resulting images. We do seek out artist choice sessions every now and again, so be sure to follow us here or on Facebook to find out when we do.
• Over the past 5 years, we’ve grown exponentially, and the vast majority of that business has come from word of mouth. Being that we are in such a personal business, the referrals of our clients are worth more than gold. Please keep in mind that for every family that you refer to us, and who books a session, a 100.00 credit will be applied to your account.
