Ashley Brown & partner Kristen Cook have been serving the Capital Region and beyond since 2007, and have since established themselves as one of the area’s most sought after child and family photographers. 2017 marks our 10th year providing local families, schools & businesses with quality portraiture that reflects our signature style... simple, clean, classic.
to provide high quality portraiture that is both timeless and modern, with an emphasis on creating and forging relationships with families, schools & companies as their lifelong photographer
to create images, as well as a client experience, that clearly reflects our brand and the reputation we have built
to giving back to our community as much as possible, through as many avenues as possible. We are honored to photograph, at no charge, portrait sessions for families in need.
I launched ABP in 2007, and my goal was simple... to offer classic imagery with a contemporary touch, that would stand out in a sea of trends and stand the test of time. I couldn't be more proud of how my one woman operation has grown since then, thanks to my incredible partner and the families that trust us with their memories. My specialty is our classic sessions, and my favorite ones take place at my clients' homes (especially when we can incorporate items that are special to the family). I like to think of our style as a blend of classic, posed portraiture and lifestyle documentation. I have an equal love for black & white images, as well as bright, colorful images (forget shade, give me sun!). When I am not at a shoot, I am a tireless business owner who is constantly looking to develop ABP's role with local families, schools, aspiring photographers & companies.

As a little girl, I adored scouring through boxes of family portraits and was constantly awestruck by the evolution not only of the prints themselves, but also of the stories they told. Fast forward to 2010 and a note from a Ashley, whose classic, simple portraiture was a style I longed to replicate for my own growing family, and the rest as they say, is history. One of my favorite things is to watch a child grow, documenting their milestones along the way through our classic mini sessions. I adore the newly sitting child who smiles brilliantly simply because they are upright, the newly walking toddler who just won’t stop, and the interaction between siblings at all ages and stages. These moments in time, captured by a photograph, can tell generations to come the story of your family, and your life. It’s why I love what I do!
