I don’t think it’s possible to write a review that will do Ashley justice. She has photographed our family twice, and it has been an amazing – and simple – experience. She is such an expert with little children. Even shy and grumpy ones. She had all 3 of my kids smiling and glowing within minutes, and the photos show their joy. The kids still ask when she’s going to come back to play. And the photos are absolutely amazing – everyone who has seen them raves. They are really our treasures… Like the previous review states – Ashley is a natural. She is warm and kind, and so easy to work with. She is flexible and accomodating and really strives to make the experience fun and easy. She is extremely helpful when it comes to making ordering decisions – even with the most indecisive clients (like myself). I think the best way I can describe Ashley Brown’s style is to say what it is not — it’s not Olan Mills. Her pics are natural, taken in any setting of your choice (I had her take pics of my kids in Washington Park), and capture the child’s spirit without worrying about his/her ability to sit still for a camera. She’s a natural with kids, and it shows in the pictures. I scheduled one of her short, 30-minute sessions, and in that time my kids grew to love her and kept asking me afterward when we’d see Ashley again. She’s also very easy to work with, very professional. Schedule her in advance, though: she’s beginning to work in NYC too, and I bet her schedule is filling up. – A.T.
Ashley is the best there is in the Capital Region. She was professional all while making our family feel at ease throughout the 1 1/2 hr session. She met all her deadlines and is great at communication. Her photos are breathtaking. Seriously. I will treasure the portraits she took of our family for the rest of my life. Ashley Brown is the best of the best! My daughter was completely at ease with her from the first photograph to the last. It was wonderful having her come to a setting where my daughter loved to play…at a time that worked for us!
